RAISING RETIREES’ AWARENESS OF GCWCC – GCWCC MESSAGE INCLUDED WITH 2012 ANNUAL PENSION INDEXATION NOTICE FROM PWGSC:

In January 2012, all federal retirees across Canada (including those from the federal public service, Canadian Forces and RCMP) will be receiving a message about the GCWCC with their annual Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) pension indexation notice. 

This message is to remind federal retirees that they can still participate in the GCWCC after they retire with the unique feature of being able to give through pension deductions to their local United Way, Healthpartners and/or to any other registered Canadian charity.  

If you have received this mailing and would like to consider giving a gift to the GCWCC, please call the GCWCC Federal Retirees hotline at 1-877-379-6070. 

STRIVING FOR COST-EFFECTIVENESS AND EFFICIENCY:

Donors to the GCWCC, whether they are federal retirees or employees, ask us to be as efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly as possible.

You may be interested to know that the special GCWCC message mentioned above was very cost-effective.  PWGSC was already mailing out the pension indexation notices, as it does every year, and there was room left within the envelope and weight class of the mailing to include the GCWCC message at no extra cost.  The only cost was printing and this was less than $0.02 per piece.
