Greater Moncton & Southeastern New Brunswick - GCWCC Awards Ceremony

“On Wednesday, December 9, we celebrated the closure of the 2009 GCWCC campaign with an awards ceremony at the offices of Transport Canada, this year's host department.  

We awarded certificates to various departments based on their participation in the campaign as well as their involvement in the campaign. We awarded the following:

Gold - for the departments with 80% or more participation. We had 7 departments receive this honour this year. We had 2 departments move from Silver last year to Gold this year.

Silver - for the departments with 70-79% participation. We had 3 departments receive this honour this year. We had 3 departments move from Bronze last year to Silver this year. 

Bronze - for the departments with 50-69% participation. We had 7 departments receive this honour this year. We had 3 departments move up to Bronze this year. 

Bright New Star - for the department(s) that participated in the campaign for the first time or returned after a hiatus. We had 7 departments receive the honour of being the first to receive this new award. 

Team Performance - for the department who showed the most enthusiasm, creativity and dedication to the campaign. We couldn't choose just one this year so we had 3 departments receive the honour this year. We choose a department for the most enthusiasm, another department for the most creativity and yet another for the most dedication to the campaign.

Outstanding Performance - for the department who had high consistent employee participation for the past two years. We had 7 departments receive this honour this year. All the recipients had an employee participation of 80% or higher two years in a row. 

Overall campaign dollars raised was $438,572.04 (includes retirees) which is an increase of 13% from the previous year.

We had 27 departments exceeded their individual campaign goals which is an increase of 18% from the previous year.

We had 196 friends/leaders which is an increase of 19% from the previous year.

We had an overall participation of 42% which is a decrease of 8% from the previous year.”
