Immigration and Refugee Board has got talent

Immigration and Refugee Board has got talentIRB held their campaign blitz day with its second annual “IRB has talent” event, which was over-the-top hilarious. Federal employees got together to form performing groups which included: a group of employees dressed as the characters from Shrek singing “I’m a Believer”, the IT department dressed as Elvis and sang “It’s Called Trouble-Shooting Baby”, and a group of senior managers re-wrote the words to the Beatles song “Yesterday” to speak about “United Way”.

The MC, from the HR department, set the tone for the whole event by doing costume changes between every act. Some of her personas included Marilyn Monroe (singing “Happy Birthday MR. Deputy Minister”), Captain Jack Sparrow, and “Janice Bond 007”.

This outrageous blitz day raised over $25,000.
