RCMP shows strong support for GCWCC in Southeastern New Brunswick

United Way of Greater Moncton & Southeastern NB Region Inc. was fortunate to have strong support from the local RCMP district offices this year during the GCWCC campaign. The campaign coordinators for each of the district offices (district 4, 5, 11 and 12) are "Community Program Officers" or (CPOs), a new civilian position created to help communities have access to policing programs which will ensure safe homes and safe communities.

A challenge was issued at the beginning of the campaign - the RCMP district that raises the most on average will have their district commander wear the Safety Bear costume.

Together the four district offices raised $11,388 for this year's campaign - an incredible increase of 1052% from last year. Caledonia RCMP District 11 were the winners of the challenge with their members and employees donating $4,476.
