- RCMP shows strong support for GCWCC in Southeastern New Brunswick
- United Way of Greater Moncton & Southeastern NB Region Inc. was fortunate to have strong support from the local RCMP district offices this year during the GCWCC campaign. The campaign coordinators for each of the district offices (district 4, 5, 11 and 12) are "Community Program Officers" or (CPOs), a new civilian position created to help communities have access to policing programs which will ensure safe homes and safe communities. - The little engine that could
With just over 30,000 people living in Nunavut — many in isolated communities far away from one another — you’d expect that it might be difficult for people to fundraise successfully.
But once again Canada’s newest territory and the people living there have proven otherwise. In something reminiscent of the “little engine that could” story, 40 federal employees raised an amazing $$35,450 for this year’s Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC). That’s up from their first-ever GCWCC campaign last year, when 24 donors raised more than $19,000.
