LOANED REPRESENTATIVE PROGRAM … GET IN IT FOR THE REWARD

Every fall, the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC) and United Way/Centraide raise money to help build stronger, healthier communities across Canada. We do this with the help of the private and public sectors, non-profit organizations, labour and media — and thousands of volunteers and donors who want to make a difference in the communities in which they live and work.

The Loaned Representative (LR) program is an important component of these two campaigns. Employees from the public and private sectors are “loaned” by their employers for a 16-week period to help with the campaign — bringing with them the energy and passion that are key to raising the dollars that are needed to build communities.

As part of thousands of workplace campaigns, these LRs facilitate and attend campaign meetings and events, mobilize support, promote the campaign, help to recruit and retain volunteers and donors, and create awareness about how the GCWCC and United Way/Centraide are engaged in making communities stronger, healthier and safer for everyone.
